Frequently Asked Questions
(Faque-Ewes)
_______
Q: Recently I have been feeling and doing the same things you were doing in your childhood. I am a 13 year old male. Am I a vampire/vampyre or what?
A: It's a possibility. You need to find this out for yourself though and not let someone tell you what you are or try and pigeon-hole you into a belief system that is not your own. My advice to you: Start doing some research and explore on your own. That will give you the best head start on who YOU are as an individual.
_______
Q: How does one find out if they are an energy worker? How can I get more info on energy working?
A: The Internet is not just for porn (joke), there's a lot of good quality material out there for your brain to start pouring through. Give it a shot. If you come across something that sounds bogus to you, then it probably is; inversely it's just that person's account of what is right for them. Everyone prefers a different brand. Good luck.
_______
Q: Shade, wasn't there a time when many in the vc were trying to shy away from the vampire label? One label I remember that was being considered to replace the vampire label was simply "energy worker” or something similar to that.
A: You're absolutely right. There was a point where, in hindsight, the use of the word "vampire" was questioned because of the connotations and associations with that word. It became a "label" that is not so true for modern-day vampires. However, the term seems to stick just because it's the easiest for now. If there were to be a change, it would be a slow one, and even then some people would be on board and some people wouldn't. Good point to bring up. Thank you.
_______
Q: Yeah – how are we not to know that you people don't just have a sexual fetish for blood? Or have developed a dependency to it - blood, like so many other things on the list - is extremely addictive.
A: There are fetishists who do have a propensity for blood that excites them. However, on the whole, Modern Day vampires tend to stay away from fetishists and "lifestylers." Most everyone in the community is your average person: has a job, maybe has kids, has a husband or a wife, etc. They might even be your next door neighbor.
_______
Q: I don't believe that I'm not a vampyre of any kind. And even if [vampires] stay away from lifestylers and fetishists, how does one differentiate? And where would you put in empaths?
A: You really can't differentiate a fetishist from a blood feeder unless they're completely honest about their practices. I imagine it's an "honor policy" of sort. It might do you well to ask someone who is a sanguine feeder and part of the sanguine community for further clarification. Sorry I can't be of more help on that topic. I believe Empaths are a completely separate entity. Unless you are referring to an energy feeder that feeds off of other people's emotions; that would put them back into the vampirism "category."
_______
Q: I think I might be an emotional vampire. When ever people talk to me about stuff that's getting them down, they feel better and I feel better. I'm an empath, so I think when I make others feel better I give myself something in return.
A: It's very possible that you feed off of other people's emotions. Anshar Seraphim identifies himself as a pranic emotional vampire, so if you need a resource, he'd be your best bet for getting more information. Best of luck to you.
